just to say thank you
Dear Suzanne, excuse me for writing in English, I can read German slowly but writing is out for me. I live in San Diego and have had the pleasure of having had a Kooikerhondje "Remy van Muskyteira" I have had to let Remy go only 4 weeks ago and find it awfully awfully difficult. Remy was my grounding point, such a pleasure to be around him, to watch him do anything, to go places with him. Yes not always easy - the USA is not as dog friendly, but we made it work somehow. I have had 3 Kooikerhondjes before him, the first one was born in 1971, I was only 7 then. Our Remy got to be 14 1/2 years old.
I must have gone through all your site's pictures several times already. It makes me feel part (a little bit) of your dog family. I see you hug your dogs and it is as if I do it - I appreciate you putting these online. But reading "10 bitten" and particularly #5, got to me. This is so true. I have spoken so often with Remy, soft words, long sentences and I remember his deep look at me, the world of meaning in his eyes. What a connection we had!
It is truly a pleasure to browse your site, thank you again.
